Roads in the Nicosia and Gonyeli areas have become slippery due to waste being dumped on them.
The police press office issued a statement urging drivers to be cautious.
The statement read, “Due to waste material being spilled onto the road from a vehicle on the Güzelyurt – Lefkoşa main road, between the Gönyeli Ağıllar roundabout and the Atatürk Sports Hall traffic lights intersection, in the direction of Lefkoşa, the road has become slippery. Drivers using this route are strongly advised to drive slowly and carefully.”
